The faculty of physics trains specialists of physics in the fields of Computer Informational systems and Informational protectional, Physical science of materials, Methods of teaching physics.

11 professors, 20 candidates, lecturers are working at the faculty.

The structure of the faculty comprises such departments:

• The department of theoretical physics, mathematics, computer building.
• The department of experimental and technical physics.
• The department of physics. Students can also get a specialization of a teacher.

There is a post-graduate course at 2 departments. The studying includes a fundamental education and different skills which are necessary for working in groups and at the manufactures. Students get lectures on methods of building mathematical, physical and computer models in different fields of science. At the department of technique and physics students get knowledge on physics of thin films, the structure of crystals and processing of metals. They receive the information about different methods of experiments and research of various objects. The department of general physics trains teachers of physics, capable to experience and orientate within the new methodical directions. Students have also courses on English, philosophy, psychology, economics, management, marketing.

The faculty is connected with Institutes of Sciences, with the faculty of physics in MSU.
